Candlelight Vigil for the Homeless
Monday March 25th 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Various faith communities from northwest Nevada will gather at St. Peter’s for a candle-lighting and then will proceed together to the Nevada Legislative Building. Join in the vigil and procession to honor and remember those who struggle to survive the homelessness crisis.

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday services on March 6th are 9am Ecumenical ‘Ashes To Go’ at the legislature, 10am in the church building in place of the healing service, and at 6:30pm the 2nd Annual Ecumenical Service hosted by 1st United Methodist next door.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Services
We will be having Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Services. On Christmas Eve there will be two services the first, at 5:30 pm for children. The second, at 9pm which everyone is welcome.
On Christmas Day only one service will be conducted at 10am and everyone is welcome.
*Please note there will be no Healing Service on December 26, 2018*

The Parish Annual Meeting is Sunday November 18th. We will have only one service that day at 9 am, followed by the Annual Meeting and a potluck.
Holiday Bazaar Offers Crafts, Foods, & Classic Treasures in a Festive Atmosphere
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in downtown Carson City at the corner of Telegraph and Division streets offers its annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Items for sale include hand-crafted notecards, hand-made apparel, accessories, and items for the home. Raggedy Ann dolls and Christmas bears will provide unique gifts. Holiday decor and ornaments will adorn the centerpiece Christmas tree. Gently used china, silver, and quality tableware will fill Classic Treasures. The Food Room will be overflowing with homemade treats including preserves, cookies, cakes, breads, and candies. A large selection of crafted jewelry and gently used jewelry will also be available.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for “Nevada Memories,” this year’s originally designed appliquéd quilt. Each block and the inner and outer borders hold symbolic designs representing the life and scenes of our wonderful state.
Decorated shopping areas inside this historic 150-year-old church present a warm, festive beginning to the holiday season. The Sierra Saxophone Quartet will play from the Sanctuary balcony from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The Sidewalk Café will feature New Orleans beignets, other breakfast snacks, hot chocolate, and coffee. Come and enjoy it all!
Quilt Raffle Tickets and Sales Kits

Ticket sales have begun for this year’s Quilt Raffle. The brilliant blue and white “Nevada Memories” quilt was designed and created by former parishioner Terry Dezort in traditional and original patterns. Pre-washed 100% cotton, it measures 81” x 94”. It is accompanied by a map identifying the representation of each quilted block, such as Bear Paw, Washoe Basket, Sagebrush. The inner border represents Flying Geese, and the outer border is the Sierra Range.
Tickets at $2 each are on sale after each Sunday service and during the Holiday Bazaar on November 10th. This year’s drawing will be held on Sunday December 23rd at 9:30 am during Coffee Hour.
Parishioners may also check out, at no cost, a set of any number of tickets to sell to friends, relatives, or colleagues. At Sunday sales times, simply request a “Ticket Sales Kit,” which will contain tickets, instructions, photos, bed size measurements, and a return envelope.
